Conversation view groups messages in the same email thread together. You can turn it off if you would prefer each message to appear separately in your inbox.
Turn off conversation view in Gmail
- In Gmail, click the gear icon and select "See all settings".
- On the General tab, scroll down to the Conversation view section.
- Select "Conversation view off".
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes".
