FOR PC/LAPTOP USE. LOOKING INTO CHROMEBOOK SOLUTION
This is a bit of a longer one, it might be a good idea to get the recording starting before your meet/lesson to make sure its working and you won't hold up the meet/lesson. The video will show how to do this if the step by step instructions below are not clear enough. In the video I give examples of "teaching" by changing tabs to slides/sheets and then playing a video so you can see how it will look when doing it.
The extension can be found here if you do not have it installed to chrome already.
Recording your Google Classroom or Google Meet
- Open 'Screen Recorder' extension
- Capture 'Only Screen'. You do not need to capture camera as the Google meet already has your camera showing.
- Select 'System + mic' for the audio recording.
- Click 'Start Recording' and then click 'Chrome Tab and select your Google meet tab. Make sure the 'Share Tab Audio' box is ticked. (This will now record just that tab, even if you change tab)
- Carry on presenting/teaching as normal
- When finished, open the Screen Recorder again and click 'Stop'
- Optional: Watch the recording playback
- Click Save (It will automatically save to your downloads)
IF THE VIDEO IS NOT LOADING THEN PLEASE CLICK THE TOP RIGHT OF IT AND IT WILL OPEN IN A SEPARATE WINDOW
